When should I arrive for my tour?

Please arrive at 1607 W. 6th Street 30 minutes prior to your tour time. This time is needed to complete the check in process, load your alcohol, and review safety guidelines with your driver. All tours leave promptly at the scheduled tour time.

Is the Pedal Pub really pedal powered?

Yes and No. The Pedal Pubs are equipped with electric pedal assists that kick in when you are pedaling.

How many people can ride on a Pedal Pub? How many pedal?

Each Pedal Pub can accommodate 15 passengers. There are 5 pedaling seats on each side and one non-pedaling seat over each rear wheel. There is also a bench in the back that seats three people. For larger groups, we suggest the following options: (1) Reserve two or more private party bikes. (2) Reserve one private party bike for 15 and purchase additional seats on a Public Tour. (3) Split your group in half and purchase seats for everyone on two Public Tours. In all instances, the bikes will remain together. Please note that larger groups requiring the use of more than one bike, in any way, are subject to a 20% prepaid driver gratuity. Please contact us for assistance.

What’s the difference between a Private Tour and a Public Tour?

Private tours are great for groups of 5 or more that prefer to have the Pedal Pub to themselves. Public tours are great for smaller groups or those that just want to join in with another group.

Is there a minimum number of people required to operate the Pedal Pub?

A minimum of 4 people are required to operate the Pedal Pub. If a tour does not meet the minimum, you will be contacted to reschedule or receive a refund.

When do I pay for my tour? How do I pay?

There are several ways to pay for your tour. You can pay in full with a credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at the time of reservation, or you can reserve with a deposit (the balance will be due 7 days prior to the tour).

What’s the liability waiver for? Do you offer helmets?

As with any activity, there is risk involved, so passengers ride at their own risk. Every rider is required to complete and sign our liability waiver before the tour start. Yes, we offer bike helmets because it’s prudent. You don’t have to wear one – that’s totally up to you. But you do take responsibility for yourself regarding any and all injuries.

Who’s in charge of the Pedal Pub?

The driver. If you fail to comply with our code of conduct or you act in a dangerous manner, you’ll be removed from the tour.

What is your weather policy?

We run rain or shine – hot or cold; however, if severe weather becomes a factor, we will contact you to cancel or reschedule. Please plan and dress appropriately for predicted weather conditions. We recommend you bring plenty of water to stay hydrated as this is an outdoor activity.

What is your cancellation policy?

If for some reason you really need to cancel (we can’t imagine why!), the renter will receive a credit toward a future tour or a full refund as long as the cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled tour date. Cancellations made within the week of the tour will not receive a refund or a reschedule credit unless we are able to rebook your tour time. Cancellations made within 24 hours will not receive a refund or credit and renters will be responsible for the full cost of the tour.

Do you provide a driver?

Always! Your driver will work hard to ensure you have a memorable experience. Tips are greatly appreciated!

What’s included in the tour?

A driver (aka host, photographer, cheerleader…), cups, an ice chest, a sound system, an aux cord, and of course, a great time!

How long is the tour?

Our tours are 2 hours. Get ready to have some fun!

Does this tour include information about the city?

While your driver will interact with your group and occasionally call out fun facts, our tours are not designed to be sightseeing tours.

Can we bring food on the Pedal Pub?

You are welcome to bring easy-to-eat finger foods.

Can I decorate the Pedal Pub to enhance our celebration?

Yes! We welcome decorations as long as they are not offensive to the public. Decorations must be attached with string and cannot cover our signs at any time.

What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for predicted weather conditions. Tennis shoes, boots, and sandals are fine. We do not recommend flip-flops or high heels.

How do I tip the driver?

Our drivers work hard to ensure you have a memorable experience. Tips are greatly appreciated and can be added to the reservation when booking or given to the driver at the end of the tour by cash, credit, or Venmo. An automatic gratuity of 20% is added for corporate outings and multiple bike parties.

Does the Pedal Pub run all year long?

Yes! While we do close for some holidays, Austin weather allows us to operate all year.

Where do I park?

There is a paid parking lot 2 doors from our location which can be accessed from the back alley (between Campbell and West Lynn and between West 5th and West 6th Street). You can also find pay-for parking spots along Campbell as well as W. 5th Street. Do not park in any parking lots that belong to other businesses. You will run the risk of being towed!

I’d like to advertise my business on the Pedal Pub! Who do I contact for that?

Great idea! We attract a lot of attention. To find out more, please contact Jennifer Nolen at (512) 657-7334 or send her an email at [email protected]
